In 1967, film fans were given one of the greatest animated films in history. It was called The Jungle Book, about the fight to convince a boy to leave the jungle for human civilization. It was a variation of a 1942 film called The Jungle Book. It also a regular Disney voice artist named Phil Harris as "'Baloo' The Bear." The movie made hundreds of millions and, at the time, was a major financial success. It was a cultural icon that fans have watched and rewatched ever since.

Makeup artist Dick Smith is someone most don't know. However, most do know his work. He died this week at the age of 92. He is remembered for a very impressive resume.

Among the movies the man known as "The Godfather of Makeup" work on were The Godfather movies of the 1970s. Fans never forget the look of that characters in these highly acclaimed films. Smith's memorable work also includes the horror classic The Exorcist. In 1976, he joined a then rising star named Robert DeNiro for Taxi Driver.

"Regression" To Star Emma Watson

Earlier this year, she took the breath away from film-goers with her performance in Russell Crowe's Noah. In August, we will see if she can continue to take the crowd's breath away when she joins veteran Ethan Hawke for the thriller Regression. It is the story of a father who is accused of a crime that he has no memory of committing. Fans will be able to check it out when it hits theaters on August 28.

"Lucy" Has A Big Friday And Morgan Freeman Remains A Top Star As A Result

The movie Lucy has brought in $17.1 million on one Friday. Now that's a success story! It's an action/sci-fi flick that stars Scarlett Johansson as well as a lesser known Korean star Min-sik Choi. The movie has also managed to keep another one of its stars highly relevant in a new era. The star, Morgan Freeman, is now well-past retirement age. Yet, he remains one of Hollywood's top names...and voices.

The Countdown To "Guardians of the Galaxy" Begins

August first is the date and fans of Marvel know well what it is the date for, the release of Guardians of the Galaxy! The film will star former pro-wrestler Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Chris Pratt and veteran Glenn Close. It will also star Zoe Saldana as "Gamora." The film will be a sci-fi adventure about an American pilot who finds himself as the object of a manhunt.

New Art Released For "Avengers" Sequel

In 2012, the film that seemed to stop every competitor in their tracks was The Avengers, a Marvel film that had an all-star cast, great effects, a great story and costumes. It was the blockbuster of the year and it begged for a sequel. Well, a sequel is coming. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be hitting theaters in May of next year. It will star Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. Elizabeth Olson is also on-board for the movie. WIthout doubt, it will be another blockbuster.

Ingrid Bolso Berdal To Add To The Magic Of "Hercules"

One of the most talked about films of this summer is the new Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson flick Hercules. Johnson will, of course, play the mythical figure "Hercules." He is, without doubt, a near-perfect fit for the role. Johnson will be joined by a Norwegian actress who isn't the household name that he is. However, she will be a great addition to the production. Hollywood Mourns The Loss Of James Garner And Skye McCole

Two stars have passed in showbiz. One of which was perhaps best known for his TV work, but also had film roles. His name was James Garner and fans knew him best for TV shows such as "Maverick" and "Rockford Files." However, he was also a part of a film classic called The Great Escape in 1963 alongside legend Steve McQueen.
