Previously cancelled movie "American Gangster" has been rescued from development hell according to Empire Online.
Ridley Scott is helping to refinance the movie, and Russell Crowe is set to star.
The storyline concentrates on a heroin kingpins attempts to smuggle drugs into America using corpses from the Vietnam War during the 70´s.
The script has been tweaked to make production costs slightly less than originally planned.
