Every six months or so, it seems that people who were involved with "The X Files" assure all us fans that another movie will be made. Well I guess it´s that time again as Gillian Anderson has been talking to a columnist over at JS Online, and mentioned another movie.

The interview she gave to them was promoting the American release of a British TV series, based on Charles Dickens novel, "Bleak House", which aired here in the UK over the Autumn and starred Anderson as Lady Dedlock.

The guys over at Moviehole were the first to notice Andersons comments in this interview, in which she said the following about another movie:

"David and I and (creator) Chris Carter are determined to do it. But due to certain rights issues, it´s become a bit messy. I think the intention is that we will and we hope to - and that, hopefully, by the time we actually do, whenever that is, people will still give a damn."

This is one franchise, as we have said many times before, that should have been made in to a regular movie series, and it is just plain stupid that Fox only managed to make one film out of it, before they messed up the rights issues. Unfortunately this now means that "X - Files" isn´t quite as cool to the mass population as it once was, however I´m sure that if they would sort all this legal stuff out soon, and actually make a sequel, it could easily compete with some of the more hip TV shows and films out there in this decade.
