According to Digital Spy, Julie Andrews, star of the original "Sound of Music" has suggested that her "Shrek 2" co star Cameron Diaz is perfect to take on the role of Maria Von Trapp in a remake.
I´m not too sure what Diaz could be like in the role, but I don´t think a remake is worthwhile. The original was perfect enough.
