Devon Aoki, Sarah Carter, Natassia Malthe, Matthew Marsden, Jaime Pressly, Eric Roberts and Holly Valance star in the video game adaptation Dead or Alive. J.F. Lawton, Seth and Adam Gross and Granz Henman wrote the adaptation for director Corey Yuen.

Bernd Eichinger, Paul W.S. Anderson, Robert Kulzer, Mark Altman and Jeremy Bolt produced the film. Part of the project has been shot in China. The film is set for a release next year.

Based on Tecmo´s bestselling game franchise, the focus is on four female fighters in a competition to the death on an exotic island.
