Jim Carrey is set to work again with "Batman Forever" director Joel Schumacher on new thriller "23".

The film will focus on a man, played by Carrey, who reads a novel that describes a life extremely similar to his own, and ends with the central character dying. All throughout the book, the number 23 continually appears. Carreys character then spends the rest of the movie trying to avoid ending up the same as the guy in the novel, whilst also desperately trying to figure out the relevance that the number 23 could have to saving or ending his life.

Schmacher did a great job with the similarly tense "Phone Booth", and I think Carrey can pull off this serious work pretty well now.
