The third remake of 50´s classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" is set to shoot in October this year, and Nicole Kidman has taken on the lead role.
Not much is known about this remake yet, but expect a modern spin on the classic story of aliens who take over the bodys of humans.
Empire Online has more information on the project.
The only reason I can think this remake would be justified is if they manage to put a truly unique spin on the story that is specific to the current climate we are in, otherwise I do not think it is worth it.
