According to Moviehole, Guy Pearce is set to play world famous magician Harry Houdini in a biopic. The new movie, titled "Death Defying Acts", has also cast Rachel Weiz as his love interest.
The project will be overseen by Gillian Armstrong.
A film based on this legendary character has been rumoured for years, and I´m glad that it is finally getting put in to production. I also love the title, it is perfect for a movie focussing on this character.
