Cameron Diaz turned down the role of "Wonder Woman" without even looking at the script according to Comic Book Movie. An inside source told them the following:

"An approach was made to Cameron but she turned it down flat. It was not a firm offer, more that the producers wanted to sound her out as a possibility. She did not even look at the script. I think she wants to get away from her "Charlie´s Angels" image and get on with more serious roles."

To be honest I´m glad she didn´t take on the role, after all shes blonde for one thing! She has also done the whole action woman hero role in the "Charlies Angels" movies which I didn´t particularly think were good anyway. Now lets hope some more unknown talent gets a chance!
