Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep are circling "First Man" for Walt Disney Pictures. The film was written by Diane English, who will make her directorial debut on the project, being eyed for a 2006 production start.
De Niro would play a Ted Turner-like mogul who puts his career on hold to run a presidential campaign for his wife. When she becomes the first woman to occupy the White House, he is suddenly faced with a significant role reversal.
