Movies That NEED Sequels, Spin-Offs and Remakes

A lot of movies these days are needlessly getting greenlit for sequels and spin-offs that often result in below-average efforts that arent as good as the originals. As movie fans, we often despair when we hear news of this happening, but surely there are some films you would like to see get the sequel treatment?

'The Day the Earth Stood Still', could probably do with a remake!
also 'This Island Earth' and 'Forbidden Planet'.

Also I'd like to see more of Bruce Willis' character in 'Unbreakable'!

Twenty years from now they should remake the Ghostbusters. Actually turn it into a trilogy this time, without the stupid statue of liberty scene, taking on a giant wizzard/painting.

They should have not only explored the enhancement of tech used to capture ghosts, but the paradox behind the supernatural.
