Introduction:
Some of the most amazing ideas from films
Video:

What are the coolest looking designs for an invention, existing in a film?

*The Shrink Ray from "Honey I shrunk the Kids", looked so cool. It was also a very intutive design and really had that home made feel about it.
*The Electric super powered guitar from "Young Einstein".
*The Proton pack from "Ghostbusters"
*The hologram projector from "Total Recall"

"The Timer from Sliders"

Proton Packs from Ghostbusters (not the river of ooze ones though)
Blade's sword with hand chopping handle
The cars in Minority Report and I Robot
All of Data's inventions from The Goonies
UV flashbang grenades from Blade 2 (not anything spectacular, just pretty smart)

The Cosmic Key from Masters of the Universe is by far the best ever invetion. Not only does it play music and have flashing lights but it opens dimensional doorways. Nuff said.

The Lamont Configuration box from Hellraiser

The Cube

The Terminator

The Stargate

The Esper Machine from Blade Runner

Lightsabers
The alien robot\ship things from *Batteries not included.
ED 209
Kurgan's sword from Highlander
The Terminator endo-skeleton
The DeLorean from Back to the Future
The chainsaw arm extension on Ash (Brilliant!)

*The booth from Bill and Ted has to be one of the coolest ways to travel through time.
*The dimension vehicle in Buckaroo Bonzai
